This exhibition of new works, including 3 major paintings and drawings by David Breuer-Weil coincides with the installation of the 7m tall monumental sculpture Flight by the artist at Marble Arch. David Breuer-Weil’s monumental bronze sculptures will be recognisable to many Londoners after high profile installations in Victoria, King’s Cross and the West End. Other works by the artist can currently be seen in Cavendish Square, Portman Square and against the backdrop of the Saint Pancras Church on Euston Road. Smaller versions of some of these sculptures are included in Airborne.

A hallmark of Breuer-Weil’s monumental sculpture is the very physical nature of the pieces with their deliberately textured surfaces. This is also seen in his painting process, in which many layers of impasto are built up generating vitality and depth in the works. Airborne. explores this relationship between the dual practices of sculpture and painting.

The exhibition will be on display at the Cyzer Gallery from 1 October through into November 2018.

Date: October 2018
