Three recent sculptures by Breuer-Weil form a highlight of The Sculpture Walk at the Treasure House Fair 2026. The sculptures are being exhibited under the auspices of James Hyman Gallery. These powerful large-scale works, executed in 2025, represent close connections between people. Blessing is a moment of connection between a parent and child, where the parent blesses the child under a canopy, reflecting childhood memories of the artist. Partners represents two people connected by a massive, draped sheet, where the folds and tensions mirror human emotion, communication and the complexities of relationships. The third sculpture, Penitent (Blessing II), a towering figure draped together with a smaller person, is based on a dream the artist had whilst in Paris.
The artist said “This series of sculptures explores the theme of connection and shared thoughts or minds between two individuals. This concept of shared views is dramatised by the manner in which the figures are connected by drapery that creates a visual and psychological interplay between the two figures in each case.”
