As he prepares for an exciting programme of projects in 2016, David Breuer-Weil spoke to The Economist about the reach of his work, art as an addiction, profit in the art world and his kingdom of Nerac.

During the interview, Breuer-Weil commented, ‘Producing art is a form of addiction, every bit as compulsive as alcohol or other addictions. Collecting art is a similar addiction, unless you do it for investment. But the truly addicted collectors always do better out of their collections than those who did it for investment.’
