In 2021 Breuer-Weil wrote, Epoch and The Coviad: Two Contemporary Panoramas, an article for the International Panorama Council Journal, Volume 5 (IPC), about two of his monumental works. Breuer-Weil explores the genre of the panorama and its relevance to contemporary painters and graphic artists. As a painter, sculptor and draftsman, the artist demonstrates how he has been inspired to make two highly ambitious panoramas, one a vast painting, the other a pencil and gold leaf drawing some 35 metres long, the latter inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry and of identical surface area and currently on virtual display in a UK Museum. In the past, large panoramas tended to deal with historical moments, battles, or realistic scenes of places, but contemporary artists can use the format to express a broader range of subjects, for example, the panorama, The Coviad, that tells of the experiences of the pandemic during 2020-2021.

The International Panorama Council (IPC) is the international organization of panorama specialists who support the heritage and conservation of the few existing panoramas dating from the 19th and early 20th century, and the promotion of knowledge and awareness of the panorama, including its current relevance and development. It is a non-government and not-for-profit association (panoramacouncil.org).
